WHAT FEDERAL & STATE AID CAN I RECEIVE TO HELP PAY FOR HIGHER EDUCATION?
FAFSA: Need-Based Free Application For Federal Student Aid 
ORSAA : Oregon State Financial Aid Assistance for undocumented or DACA students (complete this instead of FASFA)
Oregon Promise : Receive $1000-$3687/year to attend an Oregon Community College. Requirements: 2.5 Cumulative GPA (or 145 on GED tests), lived in Oregon for more than 1 year, graduated HS in the last 6 months, & no more than 90 college credits.  You must file either your FAFSA or ORSAA first (be sure to list at least 1 CC!).  DUE DATE FOR FALL TERM IS JUNE 3rd!  (***The only 4-year university to accept Oregon Promise is Western Oregon University!)
Oregon Opportunity Grant : When you apply for FAFSA or ORSAA, you are also applying for the OOG and based on your need may receive additional state help.  BUT this is a first come first serve, when the money is gone, it is gone.  So fill your FAFSA out early (opens Oct. 1!)
Oregon Chafee Education and Training Grant: If you are currently in the foster care system or were for at least 180 days (six months) after your 14th birthday and exited substitute care at age 16 or older, or were a foster child and then adopted you can receive state financial aid.  You must first fill out FAFSA or ORSAA.
